The Ed Aulerich-Sugai Collection and Archive is dedicated to the legacy of the Asian American artist (1950–1994). In the last years of his life, Aulerich-Sugai created a unique visual record of living with HIV/AIDS. Lovingly preserved since 1994 by his partner, the artist's paintings and dream journals, gardens and sketchbooks are again available to the public. Housed in the artist’s former studio and home in San Francisco, the oeuvre includes paintings and works on paper spanning the artist’s career.
